Ongoing Yoga Classes

Christy has taken a unique approach in scheduling her weekly classes by designing two-month sessions around

a specific theme - Study of the Chakras, Spring Cleaning for the Body & Mind, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the Yoga Sutras - that students can learn about on their yoga mats and then integrate into their daily lives. Limited to a maximum of 12 students per class, these group classes feel like a private session. New students are welcome at anytime; see details below for more information!

Nurture yourself physically, mentally and emotionally through a series of stretches, yoga postures, breath-work and relaxation. This calming and slower-paced class will allow you to gradually increase strength & flexibility while relieving stress.

Yin Yoga has been coined the "quiet practice". Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes in an attempt to go deep into the muscles and connective tissue of the body. It uses breath and awareness as tools to cultivate mindfulness and deep relaxation in postures.

This energetic style of yoga links breath and movement in a free-flowing sequence of postures. A unique mixture of group then individual practice, this heat-building style increases strength and flexibility, and encourages purification of body and mind.

A unique blend of Kundalini yoga and Vinyasa yoga, this is a moderately challenging class that promotes healing and consciousness. It includes invigorating Kundalini breath-work and flowing Vinyasa postures designed to help you go beyond yourself to have a new experience of your higher potential.

The Yoga Room is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks from Maple Rd., between Dexter and Miller, an easy 5-10 minute drive from downtown Ann Arbor. The dedicated yoga studio space has its own separate entrance and bathroom / shower for students' convenience.
