Christy has taken a unique approach in scheduling her weekly classes by designing two-month sessions around
a speciﬁc theme - Study of the Chakras, Spring Cleaning for the Body & Mind, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the Yoga Sutras - that students can learn about on their yoga mats and then integrate into their daily lives. Yin Yoga has been coined the "quiet practice". Seated and supine stretches are held for 3-5 minutes in an attempt to go deep into the muscles and connective tissue of the body. It uses breath and awareness as tools to cultivate mindfulness and deep relaxation in postures.
