The Block Party method is a comprehensive approach to whole body muscular release and toning. Using yoga blocks as a massage tool, you will learn how to apply your bodyweight to the block, combined with simple movements, to achieve release in any area of your body. A very basic knowledge of muscular anatomy will be acquired, thus allowing you to safely and precisely release all areas of the body from head to toe. Proper block placement, breathing techniques, and movement on the block will be emphasized to ensure a successful and safe release. Integrative therapy will follow the block work to help the student fully process the transformational release allowing the mind and body to reach a deep state of healing, relaxation, and equilibrium.
Block Party Benefits include:
Increased circulation ~ Enhanced muscle tone ~ Greater strength, flexibility, coordination ~ Reduced stress, anxiety ~ Improved lymphatic drainage ~ Better posture ~ More restful sleep
Please bring a yoga mat and two cork yoga blocks (Gaiam preferred: http://www.gaiam.com/cork-yoga-blocks/95-1408_1.html?start=5&cgid=3010100).
