The Yoga Room’s By-Donation Karma Classes continue in March, on Saturdays from 10-11am, March 16, 23 & 30! Our March Karma classes will be taught by Yoga Room student and 2012 Yoga Immersion Program graduate Kait Keim.
Kait will be leading students through 3 Polarity Hatha Yoga sessions. The basic principle behind Polarity Yoga is to alleviate tension in all its forms, allowing our vital energy to freely flow, so that we can be in harmony with ourselves and our environment. Each Polarity Exercise brings to our attention certain energy blockages in our bodies which are causing us to feel tension and pain and, by the use of movement, breath and sound, releases them.
Kait Keim is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2004. She has experience working with athletes from many fields and her specialties include: injury recovery, pre- and post-surgery work, chronic pain relief, and limited Range of Motion issues. She also has training in Polarity Therapy and Canine Massage. Kait’s work integrates gentle energy work with deep, therapeutic massage, and focuses on each client’s individual needs. In 2012 she completed The Yoga Room’s Yoga Immersion Program and is excited to combine her experience with Polarity Exercises, bodywork and Yoga. kd.massagetherapy.com
