I can’t believe it’s already time to sign up for the Fall Yoga Retreat, but given that it’s the beginning of August, the retreat is less than two months away.
For those who might be interested but aren’t quite sure what to expect, here’s a run-down of the weekend: Participants arrive around 4pm on Friday, and we have an early dinner at 5pm. Our meals at the Inn are vegetarian, farm-to-table, organic where possible and made and served with love by the Inn’s awesome cook! Friday evening we settle into our slow-downed pace with a lovely Yin yoga class.
Saturday morning we bring up our energy with a nice Energy Flow class (Kundalini and Vinyasa), followed by a delicious brunch. Then everyone is off to enjoy their day however they choose – walking through the labyrinth, taking a hike in the woods, going for a bike ride, reading in a rocking chair on the front porch…chilling out, essentially. This year I am going to lead a special Meditation Workshop late Saturday afternoon. Healthy snacks will be provided in the afternoon to tide us over until dinner later that evening (I’m voting for the delicious stuffed acorn squash again this year!) and, weather permitting, we’ll be able to enjoy a bonfire under the stars once it gets dark.
Sunday morning we usually do an all-levels Asthanga yoga class, again followed by a delicious brunch. Then it’s a little bit more free time until we pack up and return home, refreshed and renewed!
Everyone who has been on a yoga retreat at the Inn with me has loved it and couldn’t wait to go back the next year. If you’re thinking about it, don’t hesitate to sign up. I think you will be happy you did and wonder why you didn’t sooner!
