We had another cozy afternoon of knitting and yoga fun yesterday at our encore ‘Yoga of Knitting Workshop’ with Natasha Schaffer. There was a nice mix of returning knitters from the last workshop and students who were coming for the first time with various degrees of knitting experience. We started the workshop with a few rounds of Sun Salutation variations to get our bodies comfortable for sitting for a while, and then Natasha got us started on our various projects. I, for one, was happy to get a refresher on some of the skills I learned for the very first time at the first workshop last November. There was lots of encouragement to go around, as well as reminders to “take a deep breath.” We took breaks for more yoga, as well as for cups of tea, and then got back to knitting. The workshop concluded with another short yoga session, as well as a promise from Natasha to come back again to teach us more knitting techniques!
