I recently wrote a blog post about Text Neck as a supplement to the audio sequences I recorded as part of my *7 Weeks to Better Posture* course. My yoga classes always have very thought-out intentions behind them. My intention for this sequence is to help you bring greater awareness to the placement of your neck and cervical spine (not just on your yoga mat, but in your daily life), stretch the muscles in the front of your body that get short from ‘text neck,’ and strengthen those muscles in the back of your body that are necessary to hold your head and neck in proper alignment.
I included a video of my Vinyasa Sequence for Text Neck in my on-demand Video Library (available to all students enrolled in my courses), but since I know that so many of us need to learn more about this issue and how to combat it, I’m sharing this video with everyone. Enjoy!
(P.S. If you’re curious what my gentler Hatha classes are like, I posted a Hatha Sequence for Cultivating a Calm Mind on my blog back in May. If you like these, sign up for my upcoming *7 Weeks of Wellness* course that starts November 2 and get access to even more thoughtful classes like these via audio, video and Zoom!)
