Earth Day Project 2012 – Bandemer Park
For Earth Day this year, Yoga Serves tackled a couple projects at Bandemer Park: re-building a washed-out section of trail and pulling and cutting down invasives. Thanks to the big group of volunteers who came out, we get the jobs done quickly and had lots of fun in the process!

Helping our Local Food Bank – Food Gatherers
Several times throughout the year Yoga Serves members help out at the warehouse doing various tasks such as sorting cans, restocking the pantry, shelving products, salvaging products, repackaging bulk foods, packing food boxes, cleaning out coolers, and sorting produce.
National Trails Day – Stewardship Workday
National Trails Day is a nationwide event celebrating local trails and assisting with their restoration, creation and maintenance. At Barton Park on a hot 90 degree spring day, Yoga Serves members trimmed back overgrowth and spread wood-chips to help keep the trails accessible.

Earth Day Tree Planting Project 2011
Each year Yoga Serves volunteers at an Ann Arbor park for Earth Day. This year our volunteers helped neighbors of Huron Highlands Park in Ann Arbor plant a native garden in their neighborhood park.
